Hi to anyone reading.
Symptoms:
Stomach pain and burning feeling
Acid coming to throat and irritating it without heartburn
Brain fog and anxiety(Notice this especially after eating sometimes feel so slow after eating food)
Fatigue and sleep issues
Muscle twitches
Bloated and feeling full after eating not too much food
Constant throat clearing
Cold feet and sweating alot even when cold
Headaches
Breathing trouble after eating
Feels like something is stuck in my throat and feeling food come back up throat
Not really a symptom but haven't felt like myself at all don't know how to explain it.

Also my mom and dad did get tested when I did but they were negative so I didn't pick this up from mom in childhood.

Story: Hi I picked this bacteria up in Mexico on vacation. Came back couple months later had some weird gas issues sent me to er I thought I couldn't breath. Forward few months my docs didn't know what's up and thought I had some anxiety and it would clear up. I knew it wasn't the case as I have never felt like this in my life and after pushing I got them to give me a few GI tests one of which was hpylori stool test and it came positive. The treatment given to me was Lanzoprazole 30MG twice a day/ Clarithromycin 250mg twice a day/ Tinidazole 500mg twice a day FOR 10 DAYS. This didn't eradicate the bacteria and I felt worse after 2-3 days. My question is what should I tell my doc as he doesn't seem too upto date on the treatment as even my local health agency recommends higher dose antibiotics and my treatment felt weak in comparison to that and compared to others I have seen on the forum. I would like advice and would love others to chime in with their symptoms and if they had some of the same as me. The ones that bother me the most is the anxiety and brain fog after eating. Been dealing with this for 1.5 years now. Thanks and look forward for advice. :)

The recommended first line treatment from my health agency here is
Clarithromycin 500 mg 2 times a day
Amoxicillin 1000 mg 2 times a day
Metronidazole 500 mg 2 times a day
Proton pump inhibitor 2 times a day
For 14 days
Mine seemed a bit weak and if I take clarithomycin again won't I be resistant to it as I took it before? Don't know difference between tinidazole and metronidazole.

Yes, all of your symptoms I have experienced. The muscle twitches started after antibiotics. I took Metronidazole, Tetracycline, ppi, and bismuth but had to stop Metronidazole due to an adverse reaction.
As for the stomach burning, pain, difficulty swallowing, lump in my throat, I take prilosec 40mg daily. I got diagnosed with esophagitis after taking antibiotics. For bloating, stomach pain, belching, and shortness of breath, I take gas x/simethicone. Similar to prilosec, gas x also suppresses h pylori bacterial growth.
I used to get heart palpitations after eating from acid, but gas x took care of that symptom.
I have felt anxiety too but its the sympathetic nervous system in our digestive system sending a distress signal to your brain triggering anxiety symptoms. Once you relieve the distress that your sick stomach is enduring, it begins to subside. Your body is fighting this bacteria on a daily basis, it gets tired.
For your next treatment, make an appointment with a gastroenterologist who knows how to treat h pylori. Yes, there is such a thing as antibiotic resistance after consuming an antibiotic already, so consult with your specialist doctor about an effective treatment. Clarithromycin can cause heart damage when taken for 14 days in dosages greater than 500mg. Maybe your doctor was trying to be on the safer side with you??
Start taking a daily probiotic everyday like Florastor. It takes a few weeks to begin working but it will help eradicate the bacteria during antibiotic treatment. It has good bacteria that competes with h pylori bacteria for adhesion to your stomach.
I've mentioned this before in another post, but be sure to throw away your toothbrush during treatment daily. Disinfect retainers, night guards with alcohol daily before putting it in your mouth. Throw away your old lipsticks, lip gloss, you get the idea, anything that might have bacteria on it. Wishing you a good recovery soon.

yes, you are right. So you shouldnt repeat the same antibiotics again.

So if you are not allergic to amoxicillin, you can take the following

Rabeprazole 20mg TID
bismuth 240mg QID
amoxicillin 1g TID

and one extra antibiotic that you have not tried. such as ciprofloxacin or rifabutin.

please discuss with your local doctor about this combination. They are responsible for your overall health and manage your side effects.

Would this be okay?
Would you suggest any substitutes ? Is metronidazole different from tinidazole?

Bismuth subsalicylate 524 mg 4 times a day
Metronidazole 500 mg 4 times a day
Tetracycline 500 mg 4 times a day
Proton pump inhibitor take times a day

Top
Bismuth 524 mg is probably too high. reduce half to around 240mg and you can take it 4 times a day.
if you use tetracycline, then metronidazole resistance can be overcome. So that's ok.

PPI, try to ask for multiple dose a day. for example, rabeprazole 20 mg three times a day is better than rabeprazole 60 mg once a day.

Is treatment possible without medical chemicals?

I had similar symptoms and decided to seek online ayurveda consultation. In Ayurveda, the cause of excessive acid production is an excess of pitta, which leads to an acidic environment and the appearance of heat in the body. Because of it, ama is formed in the body, which causes various stomach symptoms, such as nausea, bloating, belching, constipation, stomach ulcers, gastritis, and gallstones. In Ayurveda, many herbs, such as cardamom, cloves, garlic, ginger, fennel, etc., that help remove toxins from the body. And such treatment helped me.

unfortunately, you can only get rid of H. pylori using antibiotics.

Hi, I am on the last day of treatment. My symptoms were as others describe pain all through my stomach and colon. I also had brain fog and thought I needed HRT. Yesterday my brain started to fell better, my stomach is only a bit sore now. I have a question- should I be asking for any follow up meds. I have a doctors appointment next week and want to make sure I can ask for relevant treatment as I’m not sure how much my doctor knows about HPylori.
