I was informed that the was a type of treatment out that uses Lactobacillus reuter and the strain acts against H. pylori in the stomach by specifically binding and co-aggregating H. pylori. There was a product using called a Pylopass that claims to have some success. Is it just this product that is effective or just Lactobacillus reuter probiotic in general.

If any of the experts would shine some light on it then I might get some.
Kind Regards

Thank you for sharing this information.

Here are two articles that I found about Pylopass
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32153909/

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3775242/

They both claim that Pylopass can reduce the bacteria load and I believe it.
However, almost anything can reduce the bacteria load. Take some PPI or bismuth compound, they too can reduce the H. pylori load.

Reducing bacterial load is simply not enough. The bacteria will just grow back when you stop taking the product. It's definitely a good business for the company because you'll rely on the product forever. Antibiotic treatment is still the only way to get rid of H. pylori completely.

Nevertheless, perhaps you can use Pylopass together with antibiotics to boost the cure rate.

Good question! most of these health product lack of clinical study to support. In general, they are harmless, perhaps genuinely helpful to some people. So if someone feel "good" after taking the probiotics (or herbs), we dont discourage people taking it and encourage them to continue.

So you can certainly try the generic brand of probiotics that contain L. reuters and let us know what you think about it.
