muscular tension

Post by MCC »

(sorry for my english, I'm french speaking).
I have been treated 3 times for HP. I wonder if there is a link between my constant muscular tension on my left back, ankle to neck? My osteotherapeutic tells me that my stomach is inflammated, so it could produce this muscular tension. I noticed that I do not have these tensions after a HP antibiotic treatment.

Your english is just fine...don't beat yourself up! I am on my 4th day of Medication for my second diagnosis of H.Pylori. On the third day I noticed muscle tension on on my left side as well. I just got my login and password here and so want to post my story. HOPE you are feeling better soon.....I DREAD a third treatment and HOPE that through this forum I can get the help and support I need to get me through. The medication is sickening but trust that no pain, no gain is the theory here.

dont push yourself too much. if you suffer too much from the side effect, you should stop and visit your local GP for alternative.

In order to answer the question about my treatment, here is the historic: 2004 HP-PAC, 2010 apo-pantopraz + apo-metronidaz + ratio-clarithro, 2011 apo-pantopraz, bismuth, apo-tetra, apo-metronidaz.
I am now waiting about the last test I passed in May, I believe I still have HP. Next step is the endoscopy (I do not know if it is the right term in english).

So what about muscular tension? Have you hear about that before? Do you think it might be a link between stomach inflammation and muscular tension in my back?

Hi MCC, I can relate to the muscular tension. Whether it's a side effect from the meds, the body's fight response, or related to nutrient/vitamin/mineral deficiencies, it's a very real thing. I'm not a doctor, just a fellow sufferer. Talk to your doctor about it. Unfortunately, can't take much for it because it will upset the stomach more. I use heat & ice when I can. I read recently that H Pylori has been linked to CFS/Fibromyalgia. I hope that your treatment is successful!
