breathe test negative but GI Map still positive

Hello -

I was diagnosed with HP 6 months ago. I had terrible stomach pain and developed skin conditions. I'm young and healthy with no chronic conditions. I went through the 2 weeks of heavy antibiotic treatment and did a breath test 6 weeks after the end of my medication. That came out negative but I did the GI Map / stool test again and it was still positive. Why is that?

Given that I took one round of antibiotics, will the HP be resistant next time? What is the best course of treatment?

Generally also wondering if this is something you live with or does it ever really go away? I'm scared after reading so much about the long term damage and disease it can cause.

Grateful for any perspectives!

GI Map seems to be very popular. But I am not trusting the HP result yet.

So how did you find out that you are negative of H. pylori after treatment?
