Re: Helico bactery symptoms
not too sure about the irritation in your throat. perhaps your throat is a bit sensitive to the gel.
the treatment is pretty strong. But you are feeling better may be because of the PPI, reducing the acid and keeping the bacteria number low.
So, get a follow up stool test a month later after stopping all medication.

Thank you a lot for all responds, you helped me a lot
Today i feel so better, without throat irritation, just a bit reflux after eating something( but a lot lower) and i feel a a bit pain under left rib and on up side of left pelvis and a bit on left side of back
Is it normal to feel them after therapy? But pains and reflux are a lot smaller then before therapy and in shorter episodes

Glad that you find this forum helpful.
as you gradually heal, the "episodes" will gradually become less frequent.

Re: Helico bactery symptoms
if you find 1x 40mg PPI not good enough, you can try 2x 20mg, or change to other PPI, such as rabeprazole.
multiple dose of PPI works better than single dose.
Also, it's common to feel hungry after HP eradication. as your stomach is gradually becomes better, your acid starts coming back, so you'll feel hungry. many patients gain weight after HP eradication.
I am not familiar with oregano oil. But I assume they are natural product and regarded as safe. You can take them if you feel that it makes you better.

Does that mean that i didnt have a hyplori ever before this time?
I m talking about testing before therapy, not now
I m now waiting 4 weeks after antibiotics and ppi to test again, i was just curious does it mean that i didnt have it for a long time right? Then i would be positive blood and stool right?
Here are results from me :
It says all <20 is negative
And above 25 is positive
And doc last days i felt okay, but yesterday i was reading some stupid articles about serious conditions caused by hpylori and i dreamed bad and woke up with a bit of pain under left rib
I literally woke up so anxious and i felt cold, beside that i feel good, i work whole day without tiredness and i can eat okay with really low acid, but this boring pains giving me so much anxiety that i cant explain you

Re: Helico bactery symptoms
Very interesting results.
The serology result probably means you had H. pylori before.
The stool test result is suspicious when blood test result is negative. So how positive is your stool test? If it's borderline positive, then it's probably a false positive. You probably need to get the raw data from the laboratory.
So when did you catch H. pylori? most people caught it when they are very young, from their mother.
It's actually quite difficult for adults to catch H. pylori. Simply because of the good hygiene practice, especially oral cleansing.
If you and your partner brush your teeth daily at least once a day in the morning, your chance of passing it to each other is gonna be very very low.
H. pylori survive poorly outside human body, and it dies quickly if it touches spices like garlic, chili, pepper, honey, salt, etc.
So as you can see, it's also quite difficult for H. pylori to transmit via sharing food.
Nevertheless, given enough exposure through years of trying, or sharing food with a carrier. One would eventually catch it.

I did blood test on 27. Oct, and value is 18.9 and boardline on test is 20-25
And in 9.Nov i did a stool test
And it came positive, they dont give detail results, just positive or negative for test
I saw on internet that blood test only shows us antibodies, not the infection we have at the moment
Even when i said to my doctor about blood test, he didnt care and he told me to do stool test, because i had all symptoms like it

Re: Helico bactery symptoms
yea, blood test only tells you if you had H. pylori before. It cannot tell you if you had H. pylori now.
if the blood test is negative, then it will mean you have no H. pylori now.
However, if you doctor thinks that the blood test is inaccurate, then he would order an alternative to disproof that.
A positive stool test result after a negative blood test result is interesting.
anyway, seems like you already had the treatment. how do you feel? do you feel better after treatment?
looking forward to hearing your follow up test and see if you are still positive of H. pylori.

I m on my 1 x ppi daily threapy atm, i did ultrasound of my abdominal, doctor says that he dont see anything
And one interesting thing, today i did a test for candida with glass of water and guess what, it shows like i have it, so i m waiting now for stool test to check it out
Hope my stomach will heal fast because its really annoying and it affects my life a bit
