So I completed a 14 day course of triple therapy and I was just wondering how long I have to wait after completion to start feeling normal again (if it worked). During therapy I started feeling 90% better 10 days in but toward the end of treatment I started to feel the antibiotics do a number on my gut with bloating and pain returning.

Also, I know fatigue is a side effect of the antibiotics, but is it normal to get fatigue again once you go off triple therapy?

hi, most people feel improvement immediately after antibiotic treatment. I think you are experiencing the side effect of the antibiotics. Let us know how you feel 3 days after you stop the antibiotics.

I'm on my 5th day off antibiotics and I'm feeling somewhat better, but it really depends on the time of day and if I can go to the bathroom honestly. Do you think this mean the antibiotics failed? Or that I still have an ulcer/gastritis that needs healing? I have nurse practioner appt in a week.

I think it's too early to tell if your treatment work. You'll have to wait till the follow up breath test a month later to be absolutely sure.

Nevertheless, it is normal that you dont feel 100% now. your stomach is most likely trying to adjust itself to adapt to a no H. pylori condition.

Try some mint tea or some probiotics to help your recovery after the heavy antibiotics.

Thank you, also do you know the correlation between h pylori and stunted growth? I have had knee condition for a year that indicates a late growth spurt and I haven't grown. (Osgood Schlautters)

i have not heard any story about H. pylori correlate with growing. I believe H. pylori has more correlation with immune related diseases.

Pain is gone but constipation remains. Off Prilosec.
