I can understand and I have seen many people having the same effect. So, you need to know that H. pylori is gone. You also need to know you will be better, just a matter of time. The reason is because the damage takes time to be repaired. Lastly, you need to distract yourself from thinking about your stomach. The more you think about it, the worse it becomes. Need more positive thoughts and positive activities.

Just discovered the forum. I had the 77 tablets in 7 days treatment for hell pylori earlier in the year and still have a very sensitive stomach.

They also discovered a hiatus hernia when they did my endoscopy so I've wondered if that contributes.

Insoluble fibre is my biggest problem, and I can no longer eat anything with wheat flour in it, porridge, baked beans and similar. If I do I get white specks in my stools, and occasionally an inflamed colon.

I also avoid real dairy, and have swapped for lacto free products and soya and coconut milk alternatives, as well as gluten free bread.

It's a pain, but my symptoms have settled so long as I stick rigidly to low fodmaps. I highly recommend having a look at the fodmap diet which has helped me greatly. Basically avoid wheat, garlic, onions, cows milk and alcohol.

I rescued a dog 2 years ago & he was always vomiting feeling sick acid reflux burping etc, I kept telling Patches vet, Patch has the Helicobacter infection cause I have had it 3 times, 15 years ago from bread from an Asian breed shop, it was a very dirty bread shop I never knew they were closed down in the end... I kept reinfecting myself eating a bread roll every lunch time, anyway finally Patch had Endoscope + biopsies done last December 2014 & he had "Lymphocytic Gastritis associated spiral bacteria infection" he was put on the Triple Therapy for 3 weeks Metronidazole Amoxicillin & Zantac it all cleared up but 2 weeks after stopping the Triple therapy it was back & back worse then before, so I started doing so much research & this is what I have found stay away from sugar, grains, foods high in Lectins as lectin can cause leaky gut.... fiber is a no no u need a real low fiber diet as the Helicobacter loves foods that just sit in ur gut, foods that turn into sugar are no good, if u do eat fiber make sure its insoluble fibers as they leave the stomach quicker, where soluble fibers just sit in your gut & the helicobacter breeds & breeds.... also stay away from foods with Gluten, go on a gluten free diet start to read the ingredients in everything you put in your mouth..... I ended up putting Patch on a Hypoallergenic gluten free sugar free diary free kibble Salmon & Sardines no red meat, no potatoes, no tomatoes, no wheat, no legumes no peas, no grains look up foods that are high in lectins.. I do have links to confirm all this if any one wants me to post or just google Helicobacter & Lectins & theres a few studies that have been done also google foods that are high in lectins, once you change your diet things will get better & Patch always has pain right side, which is his stomach & pancreas, so he has been put on Enzymes=Epi-Gastro Enzymes & live Probiotics=UltraBiotic 45, sugar free & vegetarian probiotic.... also those Yakult 1 every morning helps me when I start to get that norring feeling in my stomach again.... 8-)

To no brakes,

you probably have some diet allergies. you may want to consider seeing a immunologist or dietitian to check it out. also, have you checked if your H. pylori has been completely eradicated?

To sue66,

So Patch is your dog's name? anyway, if you are talking about a dog's helicobacter infection and indigestion, it's not worth curing the animals. They will just reinfect themselves because of poor hygiene. now if you are talking about a human being, then you need to understand if your 3 H. pylori infection is really due to reinfection or treatment failure. Most of the time it is due to treatment failure because H. pylori mutate so quickly to become resistant to the antibiotics. It's almost impossible to catch it from bread, unless the baker is vomiting directly on it and you eat it fresh. H. pylori survive poorly outside human body. Within 24 hrs outside human body, it's likely no longer viable.

Do you know if you are still H. pylori positive?

Hi . Thank you so much for your comments and information provided. It has made my journey less painful.

My symptoms started Nov /20 with upper abdominal pain. I went to the doctor did blood work and an ultrasound. I test positive for helicobacter pylori. Doctor prescribed triple therapy for 14 days.
Treatment is hard but I finished 7 weeks ago.
I went to an endoscopy and Gastro did no see any abnormal, no ulcer and no gastritis.
My question i still have the burning and pain in the left side of abdomen almost everyday. Sometimes I feel it in the upper left side of my back too.
Is that normal.Help please.!

Congratulation then.

It is normal to have the symptoms persist for a while.

Now that you are free of H. pylori, you can focus on the healing.
