Re: RE diognosis

Sorry to hear about your story. We do recommend to ALL our patients to do a follow up breath test 3 weeks after completing the treatment. Please make sure the treatment you are taking now is different from the one you took 12 years ago. I'm pretty confident the same treatment wouldn't work either. T...

Re: Did anyone recover fully??

Difficult to say. Of course I would avoid too much alcool and very spicy or greasy food. The most important really is to eat a bit of everything. I have heard broccoli is good and has some antibacterial effect. Good luck and don't forget to do a test soon to check the bacteria has been eradicated pr...

Re: Did anyone recover fully??

Of course, many people have fully recovered. What is important is to check that the bacteria has been completely eradicated after treatment. Once the bacteria is gone, it will take some time for your stomach to recover, sometimes months. But since you are young I wouldn't worry too much. We think th...

Re: I'm not positive. but today was symptoms

Only antibiotics will be able to eradicate the bacteria. If you have taken something that redoces the load of bacteria, this might explain a false negative urease test. Stop all treatment for 3 weeks before doing any other test. Also, don't expect the symptoms to stop straight away after eradication...

Re: Gastroscopy is booked

The gastroscopy will allow the specialist to look into your stomach and check for any damage the bacteria could have done, such as gastritis or ulcer. The gastrologist will also take biopsy to run more tests and have an accurate diagnostic. If he has the possibility to culture the bacteria, ask him ...

Re: treatment without test!

Well, the answer is quite simple. Why would you take a triple therapy if you don't have Helicobacter Pylori? First you have to make sure that your symptoms are caused by the bacteria. Treating people without doing a proper diagnostic would be very wrong. Antibiotics should never be given without bac...

Re: Reinfection or old infection

1) it is difficult to say, usually people stay sick if the bacteria hasn't been eradicated 2) the blood test will stay positive for a while even after eradication. I don't know about 11 years though After your treatment, I would definitely recommend to try to stop the meds for a couple of weeks and ...
