So is best to avoid probiotics 2 weeks prior to testing?

Some people on Facebook say that taking probiotics can give a false negative report. I've never heard of this before. Is this true? I know PPI needs to be stopped 2 weeks prior, but probiotics, kefir, cabbage juice, mastic gum etc?

I find it hard to believe.

So here is my H pylori antibody test results.

My understanding is
IgG = chronic infection
IgM = acute infection
IgA= ?? Severe inflammation per labcorps guideline?

Amoxicillin two pills [500mg each] twice a day for 14 days

Metronidazole twice a day for 7 days

Clarythromyocin every 12 hrs for 7 days.

PPI. Omeprazole twice a day [20mg each] for 14 days.

I started all together and last 7 days only had to take amoxicillin and ppi.

I just ...

I have h pylori. I did a stool and breath test about 3 weeks ago. Finished my 14 day antibiotic treatment last week.

Been burping a lot the last 4 days, PPI acid rebound?

My b12 and folate are normal so I prob don't have that one, very informative, is there a test that differentiate which type of pylori strain people have?

Ok so I'm a bit confused regarding the acid portion linked to h pylori.
Is it;

1. H pylori makes your stomach create more acid, which means acid volume goes up in the stomach

Or

2. It makes stomach acid more acidic, meaning volume stays the same but the pH of the acid itself gets more acidic ...

Mild stomach gurgling when I lay down in bed, but no pain.

What could this be?
